Abstracto

Since good preaching is vital to Christ's church, this project designed a comprehensive program in continuing education to strengthen preaching in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The research included a survey of WELS pastor's interviews with pastors and homiletics professors, and a Delphi group of congregational members. Ten key issues for improving preaching were identified and will become the focus of twelve issues of the Preach the Word newsletter received by WELS pastors. The newsletters will be supplemented by online resources and a series of courses and workshops produced by Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
