Abstract
  • This project proposes that newcomers are much more apt to engage with a church and stay when other church members make an intentional effort to assimilate the newcomer. The project trained leaders to lead the church in the process of assimilating newcomers, involving them in twelve training sessions, three sermons, and a newcomer fellowship program. Out of these sessions the participants composed a list of goals and action plans, developing an efficient and effective means of assimilating newcomers.
