Abstract
  • Living into unity: a proposal for a Roman Catholic/United Methodist ecumenical parish will examine the possibility of such a parish. The author will examine the history of the relationship of these communions and what they can say together. A study of their own guidelines for ecumenical cooperation will examine ways in which they can express a lived, visible unity. Areas of convergence and divergence will be noted. A case study of a Lutheran/Catholic ecumenical parish will provide a possible model that could be followed. The author will then make a concrete proposal for such a parish.
