Abstract
  • This project is a study of certain congregational attitudes, as they interpret and communicate the teachings of the church. It seeks to clarify why certain passages of scripture, namely, parables of Jesus, are interpreted differently. The project makes use of four typologies designed to explore a limited interpretation of the Kingdom as found in the parables. The method of approach is in the formation of two groups. One group determines and evaluates the usefulness/integrity of the typologies. The second group functions as an objective/reflective interpreter for the project. The dynamics of definable, congregational, hermeneutical filters are made evident.
