- Abstract
- Local pastors, counselors, and presently or formerly divorced individuals were surveyed for the purpose of gaining insight in the developing of a divorce support group. The group was conducted through the Samaritan Pastoral Counseling Center of Nacogdoches, Texas, for a period of seven weeks. Twelve people chose to participate in the group led by the writer. Presentations were also made by a pastoral counselor and clinical psychologist. Each session included an opportunity for group members to share their problems with one another. Evaluation demonstrated that the group was perceived to be helpful.
