Abstract
  • This document grows out of the learning experience of Community United Methodist Church in Brookville, Ohio. It was designed as a guide for local congregations considering the use of small group ministries. An introductory text provides theological rationale for small groups and describes their function. The workbook section contributes an outlined guide for using small group process in the examination of congregational life, with special interest in its ability to provide discipleship-building opportunities. The examination results provide a means by which the local church may explore possibilities for the most profitable implementation of small group ministries.
