  • The purpose of this project was to examine how urbanization has impacted the 'strength' of the Native American cultures and their receptivity to the Christian goal. Case study and ethnographic research techniques were utilized. The results indicated urbanization was not the sole cause but has had considerable impact on the 'strength' of the Native American cultures and in their interaction with the Christian gospel. Urbanization produces a tension between traditional ways and the dominant culture. Acceptance of Native Americans as God created them will enhance the bridge building process of reconciliation that will ultimately bring healing and wholeness.
