  • Stress can have a powerful influence upon the lives, marriages, and families of university students. This dissertation seeks to answer questions relevant to how stress affects the lives of students, their spouses, and children. Research utilized a polling instrument and interviews of students at CIU. The results indicate those who responded handle stress in a generally positive manner. The major sources of stress were time demands, school work, and finances/debt. The major symptoms of stress were tiredness, anxiety, and irritability. The main stress relievers and resources were spiritually based.
