Abstract
  • The purpose of this study is to record the background, birth, early development, and maturing process of Jamaica Theological Seminary. The author wrote this history based upon written sources, interviews, and personal knowledge acquired from nine years as an administrator and lecturer at Jamaica Theological Seminary. The need for this study emerged from the fact that while written records of the seminary were preserved, no formal history had been written. The seminary is accredited through the Caribbean Evangelical Theological Association and the University Council of Jamaica.
