Abstract
  • This project examines the efforts of a white, suburban congregation to partner with an African American congregation for shared fellowship, mission, and worship in a quest for racial reconciliation. Drawing on sociological approaches to race and society, the vision of God's new creation in Isaiah 25, and the theology of J Deotis Roberts, the project finds that the church is uniquely positioned to address isues of race and reconciliation.
