Abstract
  • In order to develop a unique resource applying narrative theology concepts to planned parish preaching the author develops and reviews a bibliography of literature on narrative theology; discusses the combined merits of historical-critical methods with narrative research techniques in exegesis; and provides a newly produced three-part manual to enable pastors and congregations to introduce narrative theology into their preaching programs. The fourth contribution to the field of narrative theology and preaching is that the author provides, for the first time, feedback on how narrative sermons are heard and understood by congregational members. Theory becomes successful practice.
