Abstract
  • Research focused upon the effect of bi-weekly coaching on the intrinsic motivation to do evangelism of eleven Cumberland Presbyterian pastors desiring to become more effective in personal evangelism. The coaching helped participants do evangelism consistent with their approach to working with others as indicated by the DISC Classic Personal Profile System 2800. Quantitative and qualitative measures were used. Coaching sessions focused on current personal evangelism efforts of the participants. The results suggest that participants were more intrinsically motivated in doing personal evangelism, found coaching helpful, and discovered how to maximize their own personalities in doing evangelism.
