Abstract
  • My thesis is that a reconstruction of the episcopate in the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real will positively impact the mission of that diocese and perhaps the larger Church. The concepts of emergence developed by Harold Morowitz and Philip Clayton, the phenomenology of Georg Hegel and Emmanuel Levinas, and management norms supplied by Bolman and Deal, Scott Cormode, Lyle Schaller and others points to a way out of the 'stuckness' of the addictive system ECR finds itself in.
