Abstract

The relevance of God in one's life is dependent upon an individual's openness to the total scope of God's existence and characteristics. By an examination of motherhood and how it affects a woman's life and identity, one can reflect on how God is relevant to that life. The method of study is one of small group reflections by mothers. The conclusion is that an extended time for reflection is mandatory for adults to expand their images of God to meet their particular human situation.
