Abstract
  • An organ donation educational program offered by congregations will encourage prospective consideration of organ donation and increase the number of people who are in favor of organ donation. The project reports on a pilot study in which seven congregations participated in an organ donation educational program. The author developed the program and trained the pastors to teach the program in the seven congregations. One hundred thirty participant questionnaires were returned. Sixty-five percent of the respondents reported that they had talked with their families about organ donation. Fifty-two percent reported that the program had changed their minds in favor of organ donation.
