- Abstract
- The restoration of the ancient order of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults at the Second Vatican Council has revolutionized the sacramental life of the Roman Catholic Church. To make the rite meaningful and relevant to the culture of the Hmong the writer used the process of inculturation. Research on the meaning and method of inculturation helped the writer to discover how to apply it in the case of the Hmong people. The writer also researched Hmong history through extensive reading, personal interviews of Hmong leaders at Holy Family Parish and participation in their religious and social activities. The result of this research is the project of the inculturation of two of the rites of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults in the initiation of the Hmong people into the Roman Catholic Church.
