Abstract
  • The project argues that Jesuits and their lay colleagues in American Jesuit higher education can more readily and effectively grow together in collaboration if they know and appreciate the similarity of the contribution of the academic virtue of objectivity and the contribution of the Ignatian virtue of indifference in their quest for truth. The project surveys their present attempts to grow in collaboration. It concludes with practical suggestions for their continued growth: from collaboration to colleagueship, and in some instances to genuine partnership.
