Abstract
  • This project was of the planning action/evaluation type. The Study Guide designed by the author for this project report was used in a group of eight persons. The Study Guide was structured to assist the participants in a learning process towards growth. It was a learning process that merged the cognitive (empirical knowledge of six selected Psalms) with the affective (the participant's feelings while responding to the emotional utterances of the psalmist). It was a learning experience that proved to be different for most of the participants in that it was a spiritual growth experience. With greater understanding and empathy for the psalmist, most group members reported acquiring insights for handling their own situations more constructively.
