Abstract
  • This project proposes teaching tools that can be used by Christians working with war victims to encourage forgiveness and reconciliation, preparing and testing them with Baptists in the former Yugoslavia who labor among people who have endured inhumane hardships during years of war. On the biblical foundation of forgiveness and reconciliation, which is God in Christ reconciling the world to himself, the project reviews the history of human hate, sin, and rebellion that is repeated once more in 'ethnic cleansing' and war in the former Yugoslavia. Against this background the project presents a ten-day seminar for war victims concentrating on forgiveness and reconciliation.
