Abstract
  • The project applied expository preaching to the development of prayer at First Baptist Church, Grayson, Kentucky, by seeking to provide biblical teaching on prayer and develop habits of meaningful prayer in participants. The work includes a comprehensive word study on prayer and exegesis of significant prayer passages, including Jesus' prayer instructions in Matthew and Luke. The project provides analysis of the relationship between prayer, faith and the sovereignty of God and the goal of prayer.
