Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was 1) to demonstrate that liturgical dramas can be written and produced simply yet effectively in the local congregation, and 2) to determine the spiritual and educational values of presenting such dramas in worship. The project consisted of the work of a design team of nine people from the congregation which included the pastor-author. He wrote and produced three short plays in the Advent-Christmas-Epiphany seasons and presented them as a part of the worship life of St Paul United Methodist Church in Laytonsville, Maryland.
