Abstract
  • This thesis describes an effort to facilitate change in two female and two male seminarians through a group consciousness-raising experience grounded in a theological field education course. To increase their personal and structural awareness of sexism, a method of theological reflection on sexism and ministry was designed and used. The qualitative and feminist research methodology gathered data by means of field notes, journals, evaluations and presentations of the theological reflection method. Consciousness, theology and behaviour were manifestly altered in each of the four seminarians. Implications of the project for theological field education and theological education in general are addressed.
