Abstract
  • This project tells the story of hospitality ministry at the Chapel of the Cross with emphasis on twelve intentional practices and strategies including worship, new mission statement, open communion, blessing gay unions, global missions, welcoming newcomers, new parish fellowship hall, hospitality strategic planning, funeral hospitality, children with disabilities, ABC sale and faith formation. Embedded within these practices were theological and biblical underpinnings -- a bilateral study, it was both qualitative (33 interviews) and quantitative (comprehensive questionnaire) -- results of this research, with its careful attention to detail, should enable others churches to utilize these hospitality practices in their congregations.
