Abstract
  • This study sought to discover the experiences of eight men who were participants in a ministry called DiscipleMakers4Jesus (DM4J), and assess their perspectives as it pertained to their own spiritual growth during their year of intensive discipleship training. Using a qualitative case study method, observations from the wight men were presented in a conversational sequence, and then analyzed for significant themes that were unique to the discipleship experience. The means to spiritual growth were identified, as were the hindrances to spiritual growth. The participants agreed that before one can become an effective disciplemaker, one must become an effective disciple first.
