Abstrakt

This project is an attempt to understand and strengthen the Christian community at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bristol, Connecticut. I begin with an exploration of community and church as described by sociologists and ecclesiologists. Members of St. Andrew formed the 'Let's Connect! Team' and shared this learning and their experience of community. This team then invited our congregation to enter into a fuller understanding and experience of Christian community. Our hope was that this project would be the catalyst for achieving greater cohesiveness in our congregation and concern for the wider community.
