Abstract
  • The Ministerial Formation Seminar, based on the dialogue and engagement model of adult education, introduced Roman Catholic seminarians to the Theological College Formation Program within a 'ministry to the poor' context. The project demonstrated that the poor are central to the church's concept of justice, and central to its mission. Results obtained from seminarians' evaluations and the objective results of the Readiness for Ministry Profile indicated that the seminarians were likely to possess five of the six qualities deemed necessary for ministry for justice. The project offers possibilities for application to other situations.
