Abstract
  • How do new churches (and new ministries) grow? And what happens to the faith and discipleship of people (whom the project names 'pioneers') involved in mission, in church planting? These are the questions that this project sets out to answer. The appropriate method to get at these questions is qualitative research through in-depth interviews. The project concluded that new churches grow through the outreach and invitation of pioneers through their day-to-day contacts in their social networks. In the process of sharing the gospel, these pioneers grew as witnesses and participated in the 'continuing conversion of the church.'
