Abstract
  • This thesis-project shows how God uses people of varying types to accomplish His will by exploring the lives of influential individuals during the Great Awakening. Key persons probed are Sarah Pierrepont Edwards, Gilbert Tennent, George Whitefield, and Jonathan Edwards. They are analyzed through the lens of psychological type. Sarah Pierrepont Edwards is seens as extroverted, sensing, feeling, and judging type. Gilbert Tennent fell in the category of extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving type. George Whitefield was observed to be extroverted, sensing, feeling, and perceiving type. Jonathan Edwards was revealed as an introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging type.
