Abstract
  • This project proposes to encourage a typical group of city youth to avoid becoming involved in street violence by helping these youth to build stronger, healthier relationships with themselves, their families, schools, community, church, and God. Based on theological study and interdisciplinary research on preventing violence, the project conducts six seminars for youth supplemented by a series of sermons for adults in Christus Lutheran Church (Camden, NJ). These activities increase the depth and quality of relationships among youth and in the congregation.
