  • The Doctoral Paper aims to define "cathedral-style" ministry and mission and its relevance for a congregation within the Scottish Reformed Presbyterian tradition. In doing so it considers key characteristics revealed by research within the English Anglican tradition and explores those characteristics as understood in Biblical and Reformed theology. Using ethnography and phenomenology, the paper identifies whether these characteristics are present in the life of the Dunfermline Abbey Church of Scotland congregation, and then uses the data and research to provide a definition of "cathedral-style" ministry and mission at a congregational conference to provide impetus for a mission plan.
