Abstract
  • This project presents the autobiographical record of a 'perilized' church and her priest as they struggle for life in an uncertain future -- and then find themselves effecting a faithful closure of the ninety-three year old parish. In the beginning of the two-year saga, they perceive their task as survival in spite of all obstacles. They are both adversarial and victimized. The situation requires a relentless application of practical truth and pastoral care in a context of theological reflection. Finally, the church and her priest are able to see their task as confident Christian stewardship, and their life as complete only in the body of Christ.
