Abstract
  • The project involved historical research on Peck's life using many original resources in addition to Rufus Babcock's Classic Manuscript. Six monologue/sermons were written and presented for worship and to other church groups. The goal was to present Peck historically and spiritually within the context of marginal personality. Each presentation was video-taped and critiqued by lay and clergy groups. This genre revealed dramatic limitations which led to the writing of a seventh, much longer drama which added a narrator and bit parts. In addition to the scripts, the project deals with marginality and Peck's history.
