Abstract

The project developed a strategy for the revitalization of the local church by using short-term mission trips that foster spiritual formation. The project surveyed short-term mission trip participants to discover the spiritually forming elements of the trip. This data was used to form a strategy that was then presented to a panel of eight experts for their evaluation. As a result, the evaluation by the panel of experts validated the strategy according to issues that revitalize a local church. The disciple-making process that occurs on a short-term mission trip can revitalize the local church.
