Abstract
  • The project will seek to facilitate the assimilation and discipleship of new converts in a local church through the development of Encouragers in the context of the small group ministry of the Sunday School. The focus of the project will be to enlist and equip members from various single and married adult Sunday School classes. Encouragers will be trained to assimilate and disciple new converts through an introductory retreat, eight weekly sessions, and four follow-up sessions. The role of the Encourager will be introduced as an addition to the Sunday School Ministry Team through this instruction and training.
