  • The author, a United Methodist campus minister at Purdue, states that university campuses across America must provide an AIDS education program as the most effective response to the rapidly growing epidemic. The project has five chapters: 1) The need for AIDS education at colleges and universities; 2) The Purdue University model; 3) Theological reflections; 4) Ethical reflections; and 5) Evaluation and recommendations for the future. Research is based on the responses of 250 students to the model. The project concludes that the model which the author develops is a helpful as well as effective method of AIDS education.
