Abstrakt

This project examines the role of 'imaginal' preaching in shaping a congregation's identity as it undergoes rapid change, making it part of a larger process for designing mission and ministry. The project also explores effects of imaginal preaching on a pastor called to preach faithfully in the midst of change. Imaginal preaching, when linked with a congregational process of mission development, has transformative power to shape present and future congregational identity and function. It also has significant power to lead a pastor toward a clearer vision for the overall ministry of a parish.
