Abstract
  • The lack of self-understanding appears to contribute to interpersonal problems in seminary students' lives. It was hypothesized that Jungian Personality Type Theory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator could be effective means for enhancing students' self-understanding. A teaching program was designed to study the effects. A quasi-experimental method and a portfolio assessment of students learning were employed. The findings indicated affirmative but not conclusive evidence. The positive results call for replication of the teaching program with reliable instruments; smaller class size; a process evaluation of student learning; redefined grading; and a follow-up study of student learning.
