Abstract
  • Jewish, Catholic, and mainline Protestant judicatory bodies and their school of theology have given scant attention to stewardship as an academic or theological matter. This neglect is reflective of a certain dualism that separates the material from the spiritual, and one that pervades American culture. This thesis argues that the dualism regarding wealth and material possessions is counter to Judeo-Christian theology. It provides curricular materials for the teaching of stewardship in a seminary, congregational, and continuing professional educational setting, as well as relate the author's observations about numerous teaching experiences using these materials.
