Abstract
  • This project explores the interaction between psychological and theological issues in a concrete case of pastoral care and counseling, developing four theological themes that emerge from the therapy process. The client's struggle with guilt relates to a full theological understanding of human sin and God's forgiveness. Closeness and distance in human relationships relate theologically to sin and redemption. Responsibility in relationships is reflected in the love and faithfulness of Christ in his sacrifice for his body, the church. Resistance is not a renunciation of the healing process, but a reaction to it.
