Abstract
  • This project was to assist General Baptist pastors in their theological education by designing and organizing a model of an extension center. Research was based on models of education in the Bible, and through an historical survey of ministry formation methods with some examples of alternative methods used in North America. Questionnaires and interviews were used to determine the need for education by extension among General Baptists. The conclusion of the study was that theological education by extension was one viable alternative method for ministry for General Baptist pastors especially those who serve as bi-vocational pastors in rural areas.
