- This project examines the merger between St. Andrew and St. John United Methodist Churches in 2004 which formed a new congregation called St. Peter United Methodist Church. The author researched how significant organizational change occurred during merger and what was learned. The change occurred when the congregations experienced unfreezing, learning, and refreezing around a new identity. St. Andrew and St. John members experienced significant learning that contributed to the success of the merger. The author examined the organizational learning process and gained insight into the keys that made the merger successful.
