Abstrakt

In this thesis the author led a congregation to begin an early childhood ministry for outreach to young families by providing a clear vision, Biblical motivation, and ministry plan. The author researched the church and community through home visits, surveys, interviews, and focus groups and through counsel from consultants of Transforming Churches Network and Genesis Project of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. The author overcame financial concerns by initiating an endowment, stewardship campaign, and grants. He used servant-leadership to cast a Christ-centered vision for outreach and develop a ministry plan which united the congregation to begin an early childhood ministry.
