Abstract
  • The purpose of this twelve-month assignment was to measure the significance of mentoring on spiritual maturity and leadership quality of five first time leaders. Rev. Neville Gosman met weekly with each of the five men for one year to help these five potential leaders grow into maturity and to meet the critical need at City Heights Church to expand its leadership base. Two separate standardized single-group interrupted time-series surveys were given to all five first time leaders, a control group, and thirty active participants of City Heights Church. This research hypothesized that to demonstrate superior post-survey scores when compared to pre-survey scores of first time leaders demonstrate a positive correlation between the Player-Coach Paradigm of mentoring and the development of effective spiritually mature leadership.
