Abstract
  • This study focuses on Chinese cross-cultural missionary care for 25 women from Taiwan, utilizing a questionnaire survey covering physical, emotional, social, spiritual aspects and difficulties in mission fields. Care provided is for missionaries themselves, mission organizations, and supporting churches. The goal is to lead missionaries to become better prepared for mission fields and in home assignment, and to provide holistic care in personal development and career proficiency. Results indicate that the greatest difficulty is the cross-cultural social aspect, then the emotional aspect. Married missionaries are more emotionally stable. Those who have lived in Western societies handle intercultural social conflicts better.
