Abstract
  • Christian prayer is not only petitioning God for the things one wants, but also a response to God's calling for union with God's presence. 'Centering prayer' is a way of praying that encourages one to take a practical step to silently encounter God's presence at the centre of one's being. The original this of this project explored the use of centering prayer as a viable tool to enhance the devotional life of Korean Protestant Christian immigrants in Canada participating in this action-in-ministry. A proactive research method was used in this study. The conclusion of the project is that centering prayer is an effective tool to enhance devotional life. It is a viable method particularly for those whose living context is busy and emotionally overwhelmed by conflicts in their lives.
