Abstract
  • For the purpose of this study it was assumed that to a marked degree successful marriages depend upon the quality of the character development of the individual partners. As the partners develop in maturity so would their relationship. A curriculum was developed focusing on five character qualities. These were selected on the basis of perceived needs and their occurrence in the New Testament lists. A booklet of seven lessons was written for the 'Participant' newly married couple and another booklet was developed for the discipling couple who were termed the 'Host Couple'. Participants are to be accountable to the 'Host Couple' for the first year of their marriage.
