Abstract
  • This project/thesis focuses on Asbury Methodist Village, a continuing care retirement community, and articulates a model of integration for the board of trustees' business responsibilities as a not-for-profit institution and their theological perspective as reflected in the statement of mission. Beginning with a theological and historical look at aging, the project/thesis analyzes the relationship of Asbury to the church, a working paper which was presented to the board, and the design of a model of integration that is grounded in Asbury's statement of mission. The paper concludes with a theology of business that is applicable beyond Asbury Village.
