The thesis of the project was that Bible study focused on the doctrine of personhood could help persons manage their stress by raising their self-esteem and internalizing their locus of control. The text includes research and reflection on the theological meanings of personhood, stress, self-esteem and locus of control. The project employed a treatment effects format, documenting change with scales measuring self-esteem, locus of control and level of stress. Tests results show that participants raised their self-esteem and internalized their locus of control, lowering their stress levels.
