Abstract
  • Immigrant pastors of Pentecostal churches in The Netherlands are reaching out to both Dutch citizens and the immigrant populations. These pastors also play a key role in helping immigrants adjust to the local culture. This project produced two case studies through interviews and participant observation. Informants included two local pastors of African origin and selected members of their churches. Key finding included the necessity of pastoral integrity in home, church and community; the significance of pastoral experience and guidance toward integration in Dutch society; and value of intentionality in making churches open to all races and nationalities.
