  • Defining the call of the Christian and moving toward practical application in the use of that call this study examined the church's theology and practice. Exploring Luther's thought on `the calls' critiquing the modern ecumenical dialogues on the role of the laity and surveying periodical literature since 1979 for motivational directions provided background. Participants in 'Equipping the Saints!' reacted positively to the study experience finding the wrestling with theology an encouragement to explore their sense of vocation.
